With the advent of numerous biogas generating facilities at waste water plants that are situated near or in urban areas, odorous gas emissions in the ambient have become a source of concern for health hazards as well as eliciting numerous complaints from the residents in the area.
In order to abate the concerns and help the operators become more proactive in running their processes more efficiently, regional governments are applying more pressure on these facilities to continuously monitor the most odorous and hazardous gases for fugitive emissions.
